AEI Part 2

I feel it fair to be writing on this blog again.  Sure I'm back at school, but I think there are still a few more days of summer technically left, and I'm traveling again, so I find it only fitting.  Once again, I'm 30,000 feet in the air, listening to Cher Baker, and sipping on a Coke, heading for DC.

Last time I went to a conference at AEI (the American Enterprise Institute for those of you who don't remember), I decided to join their Student Executive Council to represent them at Bryan.  I got invited back to a follow up conference for those students who are the heads of their council - being the only member has its benefits at the moment.  My prayer for this trip is making more connections that will lead to more opportunities in DC.  In light of the things I learned in Austria this summer, I feel as if I should be working in our Capitol.

The sessions don't technically start until tomorrow morning...so today is just a relaxed day of flying, metro-ing, and finding my hotel.  I'm rather happy I'll be able to understand the language once I land.  ;)

I'll be taking extensive notes at this conference as Colonel Petitte has me presenting to my class about it when I return (that was my compensation for missing tonight's class), so we'll see how that goes.

I've been to DC enough now that I know my way around, but even still, I manage to pick the one metro kiosk that has the scanner on the side.  Idiot status achieved!

Checked into my hotel, pensively awaiting the arrival of my roommate whom I haven't met before.  Sessions start tomorrow at 9!  We'll see how this goes.
